Sesame Hot Chilly Potatoes

Rains outside compel you to stir up something hot and sizzling.

For moody cooks like me, the following dish is a miracle!

1. Its extremely easy to cook.

2. Readily available ingredients.

3. Chinese flavor!!

4. Prep time: 15 mins.

You will need:

  • 4 Boiled potatoes, cut in pieces.
  • 2 Chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 Chopped Garlic cloves
  • 2 Chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Ginger.
  • 2 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Chilly Sauce
  • A pinch of Salt
  • A pinch of White pepper
  • A dash of Vinegar
  • A handful Sesame seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon Cornflour to thicken.
  • Oil for deep frying.

Method:

Boil the potatoes and after they cool, peel them and cut into medium sized pieces.

Deep Fry them and keep aside.

For the gravy:

Heat 2 Tablespoon oil in a wok.

Stirfry the Chopped onions, Garlic, ginger, chillies.

Add Soya sauce,Chilly sauce, White pepper, Salt and let it simmer.

Add water and cornflour ( 1 Spoon) to thicken.

After the gravy boils, add a dash of vinegar, Add the potatoes and cook for 2 minutes.

Garnish on a plate with a lettuce base. Sprinkle some spring onion greens and sesame seeds.

Chilly Sesame potatoes are ready! 🙂
